Integrating registration, payment and abstract submission

Hi:
I'm using CMS made simple for a conference website, and I plan on adding functionality to manage attendee registration, payment gateway integration, accommodation, and abstract handling.
My question is, if I have this this functionality developed as a standalone set of forms, how do I integrate it into the cmsms set of pages? How does one call html pages external to cmsms from within cmsms? Any advice?
Also, I would like to explore the possibility of building this as an integrated module (which I'll then release to the community). How much more developer overhead would this entail from doing it standalone? I'l have to see if my budget will cover it
