editing css & templates - is there a better way? [solved]

I feel I'm starting to 'get' css now but boy is it tiresome flicking between the style sheets and the template. I often miss the old side by side nature of dreamweaver where I'm not submit this, supply, refresh, check , return... forever 'ctrl f' in firefox.
How are other people doing it?
(..but I wouldn't trade cms ms for the world

)

Since you are using firefox, take advantage of tabs. One for the template, one for the css, one for preview. And click "apply", not "submit".

Plus:
- Firefox can remember the tab session, so that when you start Firefox again, the tabs with the pages are reopened in the way you have just left. In Menu - Settings(Windows)/Edit(Linux) -> Options(Windows)/Preferences(Linux) -> Main: Startup: When Firefox starts: select "Show my windows and tabs from last time" from dropdown list
- Take advantage of "Shortcuts" in cmsms, if you edit one template/css frequently, you don't have to search it in submenus and lists, you just click on it in Shortcuts box.

Thank Guys.
Yep I use Firefox tabs etc but again Calguy! Your the man. The externalizer looks just what I'm looking for!... Once I get it to work. Read the help etc. Can't see any files in tmp/externalizer/

k, Been trying for a while now. It appears I'm not the only that's had some trouble with it.
What am I missing???
I've checked my permissions in admin and chmod ftp,
Do I have to create the externalizer directory myself?

If you are shooting for live edit action try the Web Dev. toolbar for Firefox, edit CSS when you like the looks copy it and paste into your style sheet...
