Hi all. I am new to CMS made simple, and so far, I am incredibly impressed. Frankly, its the first logical CMS application I have run across. Alas, as always there are some things that simply don;t seem to pan out, such as with the CSS Horizontal menu. I hope you can take some time to help me.

First of all, id di do several searches on the site, and I have struggled with this for days. So far, I can pretty much get everything to work with my own templates and coding but this one. I guess not being an expert coder is an issue, but I am very experinced with CSS.

1) I really do not understand why they Horizontal CSS menu is using CSS terms such as 'menu_vert.' Sure as shooting, when  I call said style with the cssmenu.tpl in my own template, it comes up vertical, not horizontal. This is regardless of not having the CSS vertical style sheet attached. Looking at the code, wouldln't you want the hoizontal types of tags, such as you see in the simple horizontal menu?

2) It does work in the template supplied- which makes me suspicious there is a boo boo somewhere, but I cannot for the life of me understand why it works there, but even copying the same code into my template won't work. I am not asking it to do anything bizarre.

In other words, if not directly in the smarty code- and we know the smarty code is the same because the same template is called, what is in the horizontal CSS that isn't in the vertical that makes it...do what it does in the Horizontal CSS template?

Maybe I am just missing something obvious, but I think is all terribly misleading, and a major set back in what was becoming one of the most wonderful experiences combining smarty and a CMS.It made me want to develop modifiers for the thing, unlike Mambo which will fly apart when any client I have tries to use it.  I have done a number of popdopwn menus

Thanks in advance for your help.
