Hi this is my first post.

First of all, the software is great.

Currently I'm building a site for a non-profit organisation dealing with adult disability who's staff will really benefit from this software.

I'm using cmsms 1.2.3 and testing it locally using Windows XP Pro through xampplite. When I test on my own machine everying is fine, the install is smooth and its great. The problems start once the site is uploaded to a server. The server environment is IIS 6 Windows 2003. I uploaded via ftp using filezilla as I dont have shell access. I set all the read/write permissions required, not knowing at the time that I was dealing with a Windows server.

When I try to install, I get a blank page with the following in the address bar... http://www.awebsite.org/cmsmadesimple/i ... siontest=1& . I also noticed that no data had been written to the config.php file.

I have found out the hard way that there are differences between UNIX and Windows servers and that it is probably to do with file permissions why the site isnt installing.

My question is how do I set these permissions for a Windows server and are there any instructions on how to install cmsms on a Windows IIS server?

Sorry if I took the long way to the problem... I'm new to this.

I should add that I installed cmsms on my webspace and it all went great... its not windows. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just checked the install on my home set up and got the following errors on the install page. I dont know what the story is here.

Hello,

Windoze... uh... pain, yes.
But it may be rather a PHP sessions issue than a Windoze issue.
Or it can be a permission issue as you say if PHP sessions need some permission to work.

First have working PHP sessions.
Then install CMSms.
