fck editor seems slow, is there a newer version...

... than the 1.0.3 that I'm using? This is the only version available in the Forge (December 19, 2006). Does this mean that this is the newest?

The reason I'm looking to find out about this is that:

1. I find it a bit slow to load up when adding/editing content esentially compared to tinymce which whips along.
2. When I browse to flash (important) sometimes it can't see the files, sometimes it can!! Perhaps related to the spped thing!?

Thanks for your help

Sarah

What, so you mean that fck editor is not supported by CMSMS at all? That's unfortunate as it seems to be the best solution for my needs at the moment!

Oh well, never mind  :(

FCK is unmaintained from 1.1
There are many editors (look in forge) but TinyMCE has most favors (for the 2.0 also)

I agree with you, tinyMCE is one of the best ones, particularly tintMCE advanced. I really like it but I'm not having much success with it when I want to upload Flash content! If you have any info on this I'd love to hear it.

In this moment Tiny use FCK browser for files/images.
Have you try to enable media plugin (look in forum in a today post)?

Ah yes, I saw something about the media plugin. I'll have a look now.
