Newspages bring you to admin area

Im new to this CMS system and found it to be one of the best!
The touble im having is adapting the news section, is there anyway to exclude the summary and only keep the content? Or make the summary accually an 'extraction' of the content?
The trouble im having is when browsing news on the site, the links are directed to the admin site.
Why is that so? Arent the news supposed to work for all visitors?
