CMSMS makes it easy to set up a site and then hand it over to non-techies to maintain. Unlike other CMS packages, it isn't over-complex, and it isn't just for blogs.  The drop-down site navigation menus are the icing on the cake: just so easy to use. There's an excellent support forum too.

We spent at least a week looking for an open source content management system that would enable us to create a site similar to https://partner.microsoft.com before starting to code one from scratch. This was an exhaustive process, but we only intended to do it once. We considered Joomla and a number of other systems, but most of them have a limitation of having only 2 layers in the menu system, not to mention that they tended to be fairly complicated to code for. We wanted to reuse most of our content quickly and to publish new content on demand. We also wanted to make every bit of content as accessible as possible, which mandated that we only consider solutions that can use CSS for layout purposes instead of tables.

CMS Made Simple wins because we found it to be flexible enough to accomodate an unlimited number of tiers of menus and it features a superb stylesheet management interface, which allows us to easily attach and, more importantly, effortlessly manage an unlimited number of CSS stylesheets to any particular template. Equally as good is the template management interface, which provides us with the ability to attach different templates to different pages as well as to instantly update the assignment of all pages to a particular template. We were able to easily customize our template based on existing look/feel and so it took us less than 2 hours to migrate all current content from the existing website immediately without any changes and to start publishing additional information. We were further impressed with built-in features for search engine optimization. We were able to customize the meta tags for each page, and the provided .htaccess mod_rewrite rules make it seem as if we are not using a CMS at all. We are excited at the future possibilities thanks to this CMS and are looking forward to growing from our current 20 pages of content to a planned approximate number of over 500 pages in 5 different tiers and we are confident that CMS Made Simple will get us there...

This will be the preferred solution for all of our client deployments.
