Crazy frames question

Ok first off I hate and I mean I hate frames. But as luck would have it I ran into a client that likes their CMS site but wants to do something similar to this site:
http://www.amyspeace.com/
They want a music player going like this one. So does anyone have a fix to this? Or have you run into this before.

You can probably put the player in a fixed div and load all contents via AJAX

No no. Not at all. The XSPF will not work even if it is set to "auto resume" due to the delay that can happen. What other players?
I was thinking I could frame the player and in the top frame point the CMS site (index.php page). That way the site loads in the frame. The player plays and it's all set. Sounds like the simplest solution other than talking them out of it.
Thanks for the advice,
