Hi,

Using form builder, (awesome by the way) on a website i have been constructing, I have until now been using my own email to test which has been fine. Now i have rolled out the actual website I wanted to change the email from my own to an address on the website's domain...

Problem I have is that the site is hyphenated....  www.my-site.com  so when I input the sent to email of  info@my-site.com form builder throws up the following error...
does not appear to be a valid email address!
Any suggestions on circumventing this issue?

Thank you in advance.

Form Builder 0.4.4

I'm unable to duplicate this.  Can you give step by step instructions on exactly what you are doing?  Also, what method are you sending email from CMSMailer, smtp, sendmail, mail?

Example:

Go to: Site Admin > Extensions > Form Builder

Edit Contact Form

Edit "Email Results to set Address(es)" field

I've tried putting a info@example-site.com type email address in the "to" field(s), the CMSMailer from field, any place I could think of and can't generate that error message.

there is also an option in the admin section to turn off email address checking

i know its a quick fix but will allow the contact form to work in the meantime.

apoplogies for delay in response, here's the step by step:

Log in to Admin Panel

extensions -->  form builder

click edit "contact form"

click edit on "*Email Results to set Address(es) "

in main window, edit Destination Email Address:

I'm attempting to use, info@1-site.com

Still says, "does not appear to be a valid email address"  :-/

Using CMSmaile, any help much appreciated :)

So, just tried again today, and it started to work?!?! done nothing different, but it now accepts the hyphenated domain address as the "send to" email

Oh crap, I had started a reply a few days ago, apparently I never sent it and since have restarted my browser....

Anyway, I was never able to duplicate it on my server.  I even used the exact same address you used below.  I can only think there was a config issue somewhere on your server that your host has changed/fixed.

Don't be too surprised at hosts like that if something else stops working and most other people using the same software don't have issues ;)
