Is there a way to add a simple custom field to Calendar 7.7/CMSMS 1.0.8?

I would like to add a field for links to an external website.

Well, custom fields exist in later calendar versions, but there are some bugs in them and I haven't had a chance to fix all of the bugs yet.....
