FormBuilder Emails contain html encodings for special characters

Does anyone know of a way to prevent the emails sent out by the FormBuilder module from replacing special characters (like apostrophes and quotes) with html character codes?
For example, instead of the email containing an apostrophe, ' is shown.
Preferably I would like to do this without modifying the module.
