toying with the idea of CMSms... have several php sites...

Hi all,
thank you for taking the time to read my post
I've been building websites for some years now by hand using php, flash & javascript. Previously I've made my own rudimentary CMS' and have all worked out fine, but have been lacking in the 'finess' of something like CMSms.
My current sites are all setup with includes, page arrays, etc and work 100% smoothly. ...but one of my clients has now requested a CMS for their site that I built last year as they are now expanding.
Rather than use one of me own CMS templates, I have been looking at CMSms... being one to shy away from more work than needed, is integrating CMSms into my current php site something to be avoided? or will it be easier to rebuild the current site using CMSms?
Thanks in advance, J.
