I have some confusion going on. The preview is showing what it should, but the view site is showing default text from another template. (I think it is another template). How are my wires getting crossed? Is it a database issue?

[solution] I never deleted the install file after the installation was complete. I reinstalled cms and database and then deleted the install file. Now everything is fine.

You tagged this as solved, but didn't list what the solution was.  However simple your solution might be it could help someone else searching if they ever have a similar problem.
