Hiding Some Admin Menus From Editor's

I would like to hide many of the Admin Menu's from Editor's.
I went into the Editor's Permissions and I pretty much have removed all their permissions Yet they can still see some of the Admin Menus.
Right now they can see:
Main
Content
Extensions
My Preferences
View Site
Log Out
I want them to only see:
Main
Content
Pages
My Preferences
View Site
Lot Out
So - I want to HIDE EXTENSTIONS menu from the dash board and Admin Drop down menus...
Any Ideas?
Thanks

easy as pie!
cmsms allready does this for u
let me show u how
1:) start by logging in to your admin account
2:) then go to "users & Groups" then "users" then "add new" and create a user account for ur customer or whoever
3:) then you go to "users & groups" then "group permissions" and edit the permissions for that user type.. ( use the editor group for this)
thatever options are unchecked the user loggin in as an editor will simply not see ie. whole categories and or certain options under categories.
4:) then go to "users & groups" then "Group assignments" and assign that user account to the edited user group
BAM your done! test this by simply logging into the users new account
youll see the modified layout only showing them what u want them to see!
yea i love cmsms.. soo for me!

<-- hope this helps.. by the way use the new 1.2.2 every thing seems to work best with this version

Just to chime in.....
Some modules I've noticed don't implement permissions very well (Captcha was one of these, and I recently fixed it and released a new version). if the module doesn't behave very well wrt permissions, then it may still show up under the extensions menu, even when the user doesn't have the appropriate permissions.
Which modules are we talking about?

Right ..I have done that BUT it is not doing what I want...
I have provided a list of things I have checked:
Approve News For Frontend Display
Delete News Articles
Modify Any Page
Modify Calendar
Modify Events
Modify News
Use Album
However when they login they still see "Extensions" I have provided a screen shot.
I do not want them to see EXTENSIONS on the Dashboard or Menu.
Thanks

re check your permissions
if anything has anything to do with extensions is shcecked
it will display the extensions in menu
i have went thru with mine and unchecked everything that has to do with them and the only thing that shows is pages menu
account preferences and logout and view site
so unless you have a unstalled module that is not in the permissions list to uncheck you should be ok
////////////////////////////
the only things that should be checked are these
Add Pages
Modify Any Page
Modify News
Remove Pages
/////////////////////////////
Modify Calendar
Modify Events
use album
fall under extensions

I went and UNCHECKED everything - no permissions at all - and still the extensions show up..
See screen shot.
So - does anyone know who to prevent the extensions from showing up?
Thanks

I seen the question but I am not trying to hide modules...
But here is a list of modules I am using:
Album 0.9.2 Installed
Calendar 0.7.10 Installed
CGExtensions 1.2 Installed Has Dependents (FLVPlayer)
CMSMailer 1.73.11 Installed Has Dependents (FormBuilder)
FileManager 0.2.0 Installed
FLVPlayer 1.0.2 Installed
FormBuilder 0.4.4 Installed
MenuManager 1.5 Installed
ModuleManager 1.1.4 Installed
News 2.6 Installed
nuSOAP 1.0.1 Installed
Printing 0.2.0 Installed
Search 1.3 Installed
ThemeManager 1.0.8 Installed
TinyMCE 2.2.5 Installed
Uploads 1.3.0 Installed
The ones that I know I have added are:
Album 0.9.2 Installed
Calendar 0.7.10 Installed
CGExtensions 1.2 Installed Has Dependents (FLVPlayer)
CMSMailer 1.73.11 Installed Has Dependents (FormBuilder)
FLVPlayer 1.0.2 Installed
FormBuilder 0.4.4 Installed
News 2.6 Installed
Uploads 1.3.0 Installed
The one that the clients see's in the Content Menu are:
Content:
Subitems: Pages, Calendar, News, Photo Albums
But as the screen shots above show - I do not want them to see EXTENSIONS at all. I even created a NEW GROUP and a NEW USER and it still did not matter - I can uncheck all permissions and they see EXTENSIONS in the DASHBOARD and on the MENU.
Hope this helps.
Thanks

Well, you didn't state which menu items are visible to your users under 'extensions'.... but I'll bet it's 'FormBuilder'.
Am I right..... if I am.... somebody owes me a beer

The following items shows up under extensions for the user:
Extensions
Subitems: Tags, Form Builder, Search
Remember I am trying to get the WHOLE WORD Extensions and that whole section not show up.

I think there's a new version of Search Available, and fixes will have to be made to formbuilder..... once those two menu items disappear, the entire extensions menu will go.

Now do not kill me -
1. Where do I do the new search module? Do you have exact link?
2. Fixes to be made to formbuilder - do you what fixes that would be?
Thank you
