I plan to use this with schoolkids. I've previously been using B2 Evolution where kids can only post anything to draft i.e. only they can see stuff - public can't - their teachers check stuff and then publish it. Can I achieve something similar with CMSMS and if so how?

Thanks in advance

I think you could do this using the News module.  If when setting permissions for this Group of Users, do NOT give them the ability to create/edit/delete all pages (they could then edit any page in the site).  Make sure you also do not give them "Approve News For Frontend Display".  Then give them rights to 'Modify News' and they can draft, but only someone with the "Approve News For Frontend Display" would be able to mark it as published (although this would need to be done manually).  Another issue is they could edit one anothers' news and in any category, so this may not be your silver bullet.

I love me some CMS Made Simple, but if you were looking for a CMS that does what you are trying to do right out of the box, Drupal would suffice.  Just a LOT more difficult to template and setup and make end-user friendly...especially kids.

Thoughts anyone else?
