[resolved] googlemaps info bubble question (min width is +/- 210px)

On the off chance someone has dealt with this issue...

Can anyone tell me how to alter the default WIDTH of a googlemap info bubble?

I have a lovely google map, using the googlemaps module to manage it, thats all fine. Added my markers etc

I can style my bubble content and the width of the that it sits in.

BUT, I cannot figure out how alter the width of the 'bubble' that contains it. I have picked my way thru the module code, edited a few bits here and there to make it do what I want but cant for the life of me see what is controlling the min width of the bubble.

Any ideas?

have you seen CGGoogleMaps? its only the initial release but looks very promising.

for the info box, theres a wysiwyg editor in the admin for each location. you might be able to use some css to control the text field.

it should still be possible with googlemaps but i havent looked at it for a long time

This site might help. It lets you customize the map and then shows you the code to generate it.

Thanks for the replies guys,

I havent checked out CGgooglemaps module but I will try it for a future project.

The reason i wanted to make the bubble narrower was to have a thumbnail image and a couple of words beneath it, but I may just fudge it and put the text next to the image instead.

I just found this thread on a google groups forum dedicated to google maps API: http://groups.google.co.in/group/Google ... 314872d2d7

They say the info window has a minimum width of 210px.. so problem not exactly solved but at least illuminated..

Cheers guys.

I really need a wysiwyg html editor when adding new locations to the Google map module where it says "Marker info (html allowed)" how do we switch this on if it is already available

Thanks in advance
