Problem with Custom fields in Calendar 0.7.11

Hi,

I have CMS 1.2 installed and working brilliantly but have noticed a minor bug with Calendar 0.7.11.

I have created a Custom Field for a photo to be uploaded, which works perfectly when adding a new event.  The problem occurs when I need to edit an existing event as the photo I have previously uploaded is overwritten by the blank field where I originally uploaded the file.

If you upload the image again it will work but because it automatically renames the image each time it means you will have a new copy of the same photo each time you edit an event.

The only way to overcome this at the moment is to delete the relevant image from the server before I go to edit the event and then add it again.

Is there any way to alter the module so that the existing image is retained during and after edits?

Hope this makes sense.

Becky

Yeah, this is a simple issue.... it was reported the other day by a dev team member..... but we haven't had a chance to get to it yet.

This is a perfect opportunity for an intermediate web developer who has more time than we do at the moment.

1) check out the svn version of Calendar
2) investigate and find the bug
3) implement a fix
4) test the fix
5) post the patch (svn diff) into the tracker for the module.... and possibly on the forum.
