overriding scrollbars problem

hey,
i wanted to override scrollbars and create some custom ones. To do so I tried downloading free javascript / dhtml scripts that acctually take care of it - and inserting them into cms. But no luck
I had some troubles with embedding javascript, but after couple of minutes of reading docs it's not an issue - everything seems to be working. except that in pure "html" or "php" page those scripts are working, but when inserted into cms ms I always get some javascript errors like:
Error: document.all has no properties

It looks like the script is wrong, but it's working in other pages, just inserted into cms it failes. Anyone got any idea? Or maybe anyone knows how to disable scrollbars (it's easy, i know) and activate some custom scrolling script?
