Ok, I got a BIT more adventurous this time.

Site based on a modified "Panoramica" theme, using the default horizontal CSS menus from CMSMS, but using a transparency method. I also created a random header graphic for a bit of a dynamic feel.

Content isn't finished yet, but the idea is done (basically).
Utilizing News and Calendar.

Congrats on your site design. It looks really nice. I am wondering if you could explain or point me to some source for more information on how you accomplished the following:

1) transparency method on the menu

2) the changing/rotating image at the top of each page

3) the "In this section..." submenu that appears on pages in a section of your site (is is dynamic?)

Transparency uses a PNG file as a background for the menu. Was a PAIN to get working for all browsers, so now IE 6 and below won't work and will be grey - but FireFox and IE7 work great. I could get IE6 working but it means the menus couldn't be located in the correct spot (there's another thread on this!).

Random image just uses the random image tag like this:

{random_image folder='uploads/images/headers/'}

I did have the random information in the stylesheet (for the header background) but it wouldn't refresh without a hard refresh in FireFox.  So I moved the code to the PHP file and it worked fine.

The second menu on the right was part of the Panoramica theme, and I just changed the stylesheet a bit really. The code ended up being :

{cms_module module='menumanager' template='EAS-SimpleMenu'  start_level='2' collapse='1'}

With the key being the start_level - so that it showed the menu in that menu.

Great website, I love the layout and it really functions well for the purpose at hand.

I was thinking of my site, and menu structure was exactly the same as yours! It works really great for giving a mean to navigate 70-pages websites wich is mine (Growing). Thanks for pointing us there.

The in this sections shows 3-rd level menus. OK.
The link to "Old SCholars", how did you put it there? How did you implement it?

I was thinking of the same feature, and was thinking of implementing it this way: an extra content block, below menu, to be empty for some pages (the one you don't want extra links) and full for the pages you want more links? Or what is it?

The need is to provide different paths to related pages instead of plain tree structure (wich is your idea as well).

Because when pages becomes a lot, a simple tree is not enough to x-link between them.
How did you implement extra-links feature?

It was built in to the menumanager from that theme!! I just tinkered with the style sheet.

I like your menu a lot! How about using a transparent GIF instead of a PNG, so you don't need any javascript hacks for older IE versions?

I'm sure you're quite busy but I am still trying to figure this out. I've been away from the project and now want to get it done since I last posted on this. I'm not clear on the PHP file you are referring to....is it Panoramica : Panoramica  ?

Does it go somewhere in here?
