My first site in CMS Made Simple

Ok, I think it's time for my first CMSMS site to stand up for the test!
www.kisima.org/cmsmadesimple is the address right now, but it will soon be moved to
www.kisima.org
Please feel free to comment anything and suggest what could be improved! I'm very open to constructive criticism, as long as it helps building a better, more accessible and more enjoyable site for a wider audience.
All the content is not there yet, though. A problem I have right now is what to do with
http://www.kisima.org/cmsmadesimple/mod ... eturnid=14 that also shows without the news module on
http://www.kisima.org/cmsmadesimple/mod ... returnid=6
And yes, clean URL's should probably be my next step...

Yep, I'm using the Gastbuch module for the guestbook. A very nice module by the way!

levent, that's a great looking site you've got (your wife's?)! I suppose the speed has to do with the server where you are hosting your site rather than the CMSMS setup.

yes, it's for my wife.. thx
i think it has nothing to do with my webserver, cause i've a lot of other sites
hostet there in php/MySQL and they are fast in use an administrate..

What's strange is that it isn't caching. Something just doesn't seem quite right...
Also, please upgrade to 0.10.3.

ok.. thx... but it is generelly slow.. if all images are loaded, the sites is on every click to slow...
from where do you get this information and how do you get this speed?
That's the site statistic if you look at the source.
This is mine

Hi Umer,
Thanks. You could use any of the navleft templates on
http://www.oppnakanalenvaxjo.se/cmsms , which basically is the same as what I used for
www.kisima.org/cmsmadesimple
The templates on the link above will be included with the 0.11 release. But if you want to try them out now, you can download them here:

i first hosted my site on a virual server with only 64mb of ram. Man, was that slow. Apache was fine, until i had a visitor on the site. Then the memory was swapping like no tomorrow and the site was ultra slow.
We moved to a dedicated server qith 512mb ram. The site is working now like a charm (same site, no modifications). it's ULTRA-FAST

.

Hi Westis, I really like your site. So much that It serves as an inspiration to an internal site that I am working on for our company.
I was wondering how did you make your news module to be searchable?
I am using pisearch, but the problem is only pages that were created as content are searchable.
The ones that are created as news (via news module) doesn't come up on search result.
I would appreciate if you can enlighten me with this.
Thanks and keep up the good work.
