After updating without any errors (on 2 different systems) I see all Tags in the Admin interface displayed twice 
How can I fix this ?

Yes, I  also see duplicates of tags in Admin -> Extensions -> Tags since upgrading to v1.2.1

I don't remember the answer, but if I am not wrong, this problem was already solved in another topic.
Try to search the forum.

I could find no such topic or solution.

I couldn't find the answer either, but I can confirm the problem. I see them listed twice on mine after upgrade to 1.2.1

here are screen shots of the broken udt's and the doubled tags

The modifier.cms_date_format.php in the plugins folder, kills the user defined tags.

Also, the news is broken after this upgrade.

yeah... removing the modifier.cms_date_format.php seems to fix both the udt and the double listing of the tags. not sure about the news module yet.

yeah.. just confirmed that news is hosed.  published articles show up, but the back end doesn't work at all.

Yes, I get:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/webusers/fgadmin/floatingginkgo.com/www/admin/moduleinterface.php on line 120

And articles are not showing on my site.

On another site, the upgrade was OK, including the news module, but this site has no UDTs.

I am also getting some errors after upgrading:

As if "same here" is any help, but...  same here.
