Yes I know it's going to be a huge upgrade but as you can see in the subject line I am still using the 0.13 version. My question is that will it be impossible to go from 0.13 to 1.2 or should I do a fresh install and point the 1.2 installation to the existing database that housed 0.13.

Advice, problems, and issues are greatly appreciated.

make sure you have a backup of your database and your cmsms files and you can always revert back if things go south. you can just copy your existing database, upload the current cmsms files, copy over any uploaded files you need, and point your new config.php to the database copy to upgrade it.
