pages for single page editors keep disabling!

Hi,
We have a site where some pages are editable by low permissions editors (ie - just added as editors for that page in the page options for that page). We have just updated to the latest version and it seems that now, when a low permission seditor edits his page, it gets disables until master admin goes back in and switches it back on again - before they could edit the page and it would just stay live (which is what we want). Is this a bug, or a new feature that can be changed in the admin, and if so, does anyone know where?
