-Does this CMS have a built-in image gallery, or would I have to download something else?
-Can I use my existing SMF board?

Image gallery is available as Album and a few others, look in development tab above...
This is an SMF integrated with CMSMS that we are using,...

There's no integration with SMF, we've just developed an SMF 'theme' to make the two packages look alike.

So it works with SMF as a new installation, but I can't use CMSMS with my current existing SMF board?

There shouldn't be anything that would interfere with the two systems..... there is just no connection.
