Upgrading - Newbie question!

Hi I have a site which I created with using version 1.08. I am aware things have moved on and I should update it. I have changed some of the style sheets to get what I wanted looks wise.

In the upgrade material says you should copy all the files over to the server and run the script - but that will surely delete the style sheets I have changed. Obviously I can copy the sheets on my original and put them back in to the upgraded version when I have run the script - but will there have been any changes made over all that copying the old ones back will effect??

just dont want to totally screw up all my work! (yes it would all be backed up before hand - but even then if I mess up - I am not sure HOW to get the back up to work!)

Thanks in advance for you help and apologies for what is a dumb question!

Rog

Most informations (like stylesheets) are saved in database. On upgrading normally nothing will be overwritten.

But if you create a database backup you have every time the possibility to go a step back. You have only to replace the current database with the old one.
