Website just disappeard--Admin still there. SOLVED

Everything was going so well! And then the whole public side of the site just disappeared, blank, white page.
All the files are still there; the admin part seems just fine.
How I suspect I caused the problem:
I was getting errors about Archive module every time I put something new in a global content block, and it got so annoying I uninstalled the Archive module. That's the last thing I did before the white-out.
I reinstalled the module, but no joy.
Will a wiser person please chastise me and help me fix it??

Hello,
quick answer : restore from your latest files+database backup.
long answer : usual questions about the context, like hosting, OS, versions, settings, LOGS...
And I'm not sure if this "Archive module" is compatible with the latest stable version of CMSms. Aren't you running an old CMSms ?

It turns out to have been a simple user boneheaded (fatigued) error. I had a global content file called "footer," to which I accidentally included a smarty tag: {footer}.
Looped.
Good news is I now have the new version running, and it appears to be faster. Also, a trouble I was having with global content blocks not being saved is now resolved, saving is not a problem anymore.
Thanks!
