I've noticed some strange code on my site. Every page in the frontend starts with this:

I've looked in my template and couldn't find it. What's gone wrong and do anybody know what's to do about it?
I'm using version 0.11beta1 and my page is
www.horisonten.dk
Hope somebody knows what I'm talking about!

Well I opened your page and it seems fine, so is the source code:
There are no strange characters?!

They are still there:
Code: Select all

With Safari, I get nothing. With Firefox/Linux, I get the codes.
That's REALLY confusing.

Yes and really don't know where they come from. I tried deleting my database and begun all over, but it didn't work. When I try checking the html at w3.org i also get this error message:
This page is not Valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional!
Below are the results of checking this document for XML well-formedness and validity.
Error Line 1 column 0: character "ï" not allowed in prolog.
ü/strong>?»¿ï»¿<!DOCTYPE
I'm using Mac OS X and Firefox but when I deleted my database yesterday I used Windozer (Mac rules - Windows sucks!

)

How are you developing your template? Are you using some external editor?
Have you ever tried to paste your template code into a normal ASCII editor (UltraEdit or Textpad) and remove those characters and copy the code over to the template section of CMSMS (uhh, long question)?
Let us know.
René
I only use text pad (or BBEdit) when I develop my sites... Tried checking the template like you said, but without any result... The error is to be found somewhere else - I just don't know where! Maybe the next beta release will fix it...?

I've just realized that "the strange code" sometimes can be found in the backend as well...
