When I use the search function the first time it gives this error:

Warning: Parameter searchinput is not known... dropped in /home/plt103/public_html/mysite.com/lib/misc.functions.php on line 1252

It works the second time the search function is used - it's like something has to be initialized?

I found this thread:

where a similar problem is reported and listed as solved. I've tried both solutions that were offered in the thread and I still have the problem.

I downloaded CMSMS within the past few days. In the other thread, tsv mentioned the problem would be fixed asap on 17 Jul 2007.

How do I fix this? Don't I just have to put {search} in the template to use the search function? Or do I have to do something else too?

Search is the main reason I wanted to use a CMS for this project. 

Does anyone know if whatever is causing this has been fixed in the new release in beta testing?

do you run the latest cms ms 1.1.4.1 ?

I have the same problem, and I'm running the latest version of the CMS and all modules.
