In the last two or three months I have set up 3 cmsmadesimple sites for my clients. All with the same hosting company with the installations being identical with no problems.

I am starting my 4th installation for another client with the same hosting company and I can't get the install to work at all.  I use WSFTP as I don't have access to install using shell and I'm very comfortable using it and chmoding the appropriate files. As best I can tell all files were transferred correctly.

I'm running CMS Made Simple 1.1.3.1. I'm using PHP 5, and MySQL 4. This is all working with Windows 2003 based hosting.

Here is the error message I get:

I'm installing this "behind" the current html website to keep my clients site up and running until I can get cmsmadesimple up and running. You can see the error at http://orlandoviolinist.com/index.php

I've looked at the trouble shooting section and I can't seem to figure out exactly whats going on. If I've missed some information that would be helpful, please let me know.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have seen such posts in these forums and I fear it was Windows issues. I don't know Windows, may be a problem with file access rights after a "service" pack update ?

You could switch your FTP tool but I think it is more a Windows config issue.

check your permissions.

If you are on a windows server, ask support to change the permissions for you. chmod is for Linux. It may work to chmod yourself but it's not intended to work that way. Also, make sure that someone hasn't installed Front Page server extensions. It resets all permissions for the files.  I used Front Page years ago and I would reccommend that you avoid any component supplied by Front Page. It will eventually, down the road, mess your site up.
