CMS Made Simple Forums

Hi,

Basically this should have been resolved ages ago in the blogs made simple documentation forum section. But unfortunatly it looks like the developers just don't care if the module does not work. (much to many peoples frustrations)

The way in which the module does not work is simple. It will allow you to create entries for the blog and view them in the site, but it will not let you 'read more' or 'post a comment' therefore only giving the visitor a snippet of the original content and no way to comment.

Please if someone has found a fix for this or another blog system that actually works please reply!!!

Im fast running out of options before site launch, and the developers wont even answer emails.

ps. Im using the latest version of cmsmadesimple and 0.2.2 of blogs made simple.

You can use News module combined with Comments module and got the same result.

An example how to use is available in Comments module help.

To add a read more do this

FTP
go to modules/Blogs/ download acton.showblog.php

Edit lline 25 and replase "..." with "Read More »" or "Read More"

Also "..." resides in action.showshortcategory.php

Post comments works for me not sure why you are having issues with that unless it is permissions isssue. Not sure
