Hello, I'am building a new site for my tennis club with cmsmade simple. We use a phpbb2 forum, so members can post the latest news etc.
In the phpbb forum i use different categories. Also i use topic_anywhere.php to view the lastest topic on the homepage.
Now, i want the following:
i want to make a menu item (in cmsmadesimple) for the forum itself (http://www.(...)/forum and open it in the content area of cmsmade simple. With the embed tag it works perfect.
But when i make a menuitem with the link to a categorie of the forum (f.e. http://www.t....nl/forum/index.php?c=2 it doenst work with the embed or pi-frame tag. It opens only www.tv.nl/forum....
Also, the output of topics_anywhere is a javascript. I makes different link. How can i make cmsmadesimple to open these link in the content area and not in a new page/tab
Hope someone can help.
problem with cmsmadesimple and phpbb
Re: problem with cmsmadesimple and phpbb
Hello,
as far as I know, nobody can have links to /softB/some/URL/scheme/xyz in the "content area" of /softA/other/scheme/abc
Each soft has its own way of working with URLs.
But you can make them look integrated by sharing a design. See this on cmsmadesimple.org where CMSms, WordPress, SMF, gForge, etc... "look integrated".
Or you are a PHP coder and you happily join the modules team to solve the issue by writing a bridge module ?-)
