[SOLVED] siFR and cmsmadesimple

Hi - I've been struggling to utilise sifr 2.0 on a cmsmadesimple site - have managed to do it for another site I have built but am confused re the exact procedure when applying this to cmsms - I followed an earlier thread on this but the solution didn't reach a conclusion. I have the javascript working fine as far as I can see and sometimes my heading text disappears but no flash replacement text shows up so I think iI am getting there - just not quite!

Has anyone any new hints for using sifr with cmsmadesimple?

(I know there is a truetype text replacement function - quite a new one but I had set my heart on sifr for accessiblity, efficiency etc - I could be wrong here! -  if all else fails does this perform as well as sifr?)

Many thanks

Regards
Lynne

Hello,

I didn't know sfir. After 3 minutes of web research I've come to the conclusion it is client side, hence independant of the system of the server (CMSms or something else). So I would say that you can use sfir with CMSms as you would use it with static web pages. Of course I may be wrong as 3 minutes don't make me an expert on this topic :)

Thanks v much both  - I have now got it working using these instructions:

http://geek.amellie.net/2006/10/sifr-a-not-so-new-technology/

The easiest and most complete I could find.

Thought this link might be useful for others - baby steps  :) - explains the complete procedure in detail with examples. Think I used this first time around and then lost it.

Btw am using siFR 2.0.3 now as there is a reported security vulnerability with 2.0.2
