Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.1.2
Okay. Besides the fact that the 1.1.1 release was messed up (No News or external modules) (that was completely my fault).
there are actually some important fixes in this version:
1) Fixed an obscure bug where a non inline form was used in a content block, and then modules were used after it in the template.
2) Some tweaks and fixes to TinyMCE
3) Fixed a problem where you couldn't remove or uninstall a module if it's MaximumCMSVersion was too low
it's a pretty minor change, but the downloads page has the new versions (with the modules installed).... and diffs from 1.1 to 1.1.2 and from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.1.2
I've just updated 15 websites. But with one I've got problems with the news module.
They don't show up any more on my website and in the CMS there no list anymore with my news articles.
I update from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2. like al the other sites.
How 's this possible?
News 2.5 also don't work. No items shows!
I get this error:

And in the News Module there's still no list of items

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.1.2
I have the same problem with the news module. I also did the 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 upgrade and my news articles disappeared.
Any ideas?

Check the listmodules page, the News module probably needs upgrading.

Mine shows News version 2.3.0.2 installed and the permissions are set properly.

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.1.2
I'm using cmsms 1.1.2 and News 2.5 and the news works. The news definitely needed an upgrade.
On News posts, it does fire an error and offers a link to the frontendusers admin. I think this has to do with creating a News group under frontendusers. But all the other functionality seems to work fine.

EDIT: I installed News 2.5 by uploading a tar file and extracting it over the existing News. The xml file didn't work for me last night.

I did have to install captcha for comments...

When I look in the database, the news articles are there - they are just not showing up in the module or the front end.

Nullig,
some stupid questions.
- The news-items are marked as "Approved"; this was introduced earlier.
- The news-items don't have an expiration-date.
- The template for both summary and detail is filled and marked as default, they are DB-driven now.
- Autorisation is set to "Approve news for the frontend".

Re: Announcing CMS Made Simple 1.1.2
I can't see the items in the admin panel, but they were Approved and displayed properly in 1.1.1. The templates are OK. Authorisation is OK.
The new articles showed fine up to CMSMS 1.1.1, then when I did the update to 1.1.2 using the 1.1.1-1.1.2 file, they stopped showing.
I just created a new article and it doesn't show, either.
{news number='4' detailpage='news'} is the tag I use in my template.

And without the number-parameter?

One other thing that crossed my mind. You didn't change any NEWS-modules by yourself, did you. In 1.1.1 NEWS wasn't present. I'm not sure if only changed module-files are shipped, or the full NEWS-module. If you changed any file yourself, it might interfere with the upgrade (ONLY if not all module-files are shipped!)
