Hi,

I just upgraded from 1.0.8 to 1.1 and all went well.... I assumed .
Problem now is that the homepage only shows the heading jpg-file of the site and the typical greyish background.
The back-end seems to work fine. I can log in and it contains (as far as I can see) all relevant data.
Any clue?

PS Thanks for your support on my previous question on the front-end users issue. This seems to be solved. I didn't dare to close it since someone els is still using it for his problems.

if it works over there, try "clear cache" in the "Global settings". And then check the site again.

If your topic on FEU is solved, you can mark it as solved. The other poster can always open another topic if the discussion is ended. Basically when closing your topic, people that search know that the basic question is fixed, which is good if you have the same problem and people that check for open problems will know that they don't have to go through the entire topic, as it is solved.

This doesn't change the appearance.
During the upgrade I was a little confused by the assignment of rights. Does this give you a clue? I had to change the rights to the install dir and to config.php.

I notice some "strange" things in the environment. There are f.e. no icons available when you look at the stylesheets attached to a template. I don't know what re-running the upgrade.php will do.

I see that for some reason the source of the page is stopped. If I check the source it will start with the search-container, but never ends the rest.

Maybe others, can tell the correct way.

Since I can collect the source of all pages, templates etc. I consider:
- erasing the database,
- deleting all files and
- installing from scratch
This should ensure that no arrors remain (???).

Too mutch impact or the best possible solution in you opinion?

Does it mean the HTTP connection is stopped ? It could be a new hosting PHP limit : execution time, memory allowed...

Pierre,

if I press "View source" in IE, the source of the page is shown. This shows only a part of the page that is being pulled. The source shows f.e. the opening of the "search" container, but stops there, so that container isn't closed, and all the rest of the template down. MENU, CONTENT isn't visible in the source.

Chunked and no Content-Length. I don't know about this http 1.1 feature. There seems to be something related to this chunking. You should ask the webserver admin.

Hi RonnyK, Pierre and others,

I gave up... I'm guilty.... I deleted all data and installed v1.1 from scratch   Now everything is working. I'm finalizing all settings and the problem seems to be solved. Not in the most elegant or heroic way, but just in the laziest way. Thank you for your support.
