Incorrect Username and Password during Install

I'm trying to install CMSMS and on step 3, I get the 'incorrect username and password' message after trying multiple attempts.

Here are the details:

I'm using a Yahoo web hosting account, and created a username and password for MySQL, installed phpMyAdmin and used that username and password to log in. I then created a database and a new user with access to that database. phpMyAdmin is installed under one folder on the site, and i installed the CMSMS files in another folder. I am using phpMyAdmin 2.6.3 and CMSMS

When I install the CMSMS, I'm using:

Database Host: localhost
Database name: cms
username: user
password: *****
table prefix: cms_

Is there anything I may have done incorrectly in phpMyAdmin?

I appreciate any help with this issue, thank you!

Hello wd88,

I don't know about Yahoo web hosting. IMHO everything you are showing seems ok, except the database host : it may not be "localhost". What is PhpMyAdmin using ? Or could it be a non standard port issue ?
