ive tried to download a lot of templates off the site and over 80% of them dont come with the .tpl files, they just come with the .css files and the image folder.

does anybody know why this is and how i would go about getting the .tpl file to accomodate the templates?

Not sure what you mean by "dont come with the .tpl files"

There is a little tutorial on how to use the templates that aren't in .XML on the theme site...
