[SOLVED] No menu's after clean install

Hi there,
I just did a clean install of the latest version.
The install went perfect, just when open the site it seems i have no menu on the left side.
what went wrong?
im running on:
Linux, 2.6.9-55.0.2.ELsmp
apache 1.3.37
PHP 4.4.7
MySQL: 4.1.21-standard

Do you have no menu at all, or just one menu item? What about the Administration, do you have content pages listed there?
If not, you probably unchecked the "Install sample content" while installing, and therefore no content (and no menu) was created. Try to create just one page, save it, and see if it shows up on your site?

I have no menu at all,
tho i have menu items in: Admin -> Content -> Pages
Just to be sure i added 1 page but this doenst apear either.

i solved the problem.
there was a slight problem with the permissions, changed this and reinstalled, and the problem is now solved.

sure.
the modules, tem, templates_c, cache, en plugin dir were modded to 666, tho this is nog enough, i had to mod them to 775.
reinstall and this did the trick.

Oh, but you could have just changed the permissions thru your FTP client and not reinstalled to get the same effect...

i tried that, but that kept the problem. i had to reinstall.
