"No Properties" message when using FrontEndUsers [solved]

Post by dfurny »

Hi

I am new to this CMS lark so please bear with me.

I have setup (with a fair bit of effort) CMS Made Simple 1.1 "Samoa" and have installed FEU 1.2.0. I have also got CMSMailer and CustomContent modules installed

I am trying to set up some test users and have followed posts on this forum telling me to:

1) setup some user properties - in this case I have set up an email address field (and tried text also)
2) setup groups of Test_User_Group1 and testusergroup2
3) attempted to setup a user and allocate it to either of the above groups, and get the message "no properties" in red

The user does not appear and I dont know why

I have checked the user permissions and have enabled them all for my admin login

Hopefully this gives a bit of background and somebody can come up with a (probably obvious) answer to my problem

Thanks in advance

When creating a group you have to associate properties with the group by specifying a sort order, and wether the field is 'required','optional', or 'hidden'.

At least one property cannot be 'off'

That has done the trick, I did not complete the 'sort order' field. I suppose the lesson here is 'if there is a box try filling it in'.

Many Thanks for your help
