SOLVED: Global problem with module templates

-------------
After testing, I think it's a server issue.
If I login & change the TEMPLATES folder of each module--and each template--to 777 then it works.
Apparently, my server isn't chmodding the "future" files as 777.
I don't know if it's supposed to or not, but this fixes it.

Hi all,
it seems like half the modules I use require me to update the templates ON THE SERVER--not in the cms.
I literally have to search, find, and then modify .php files with default templates.
Is this due to read/write permissions?
I tried setting EVERYTHING in the modules to 777 but no luck.... the templates that are kicked out area ALWAYS what is hard-coded.
I never had this problem before version 1.0-1.1.
Modules that I have this problem with:
News
Company Directory
Blogs
Forms
thanks,
david
