Newsletter Made Simple Emails not arriving (second request) HELP!!! (UPDATED)

Hey all,

I have been working with CMS for over a year and love it.

The issue I have seems to be this: Not everyone is getting the mail sent via NMS. Including me!

I set up the NMS and tested it so I know the mailer is goes out. CMAILER is working as well. But the client and a few others do not receive the email. I checked the spam idea by sending it to four different emails of mine only one arrived and there was nothing int her JUNK or SPAM folder.

When I process jobs it says all the emails were sent. So I am not sure what to do.

Anyone else run into this?

Thanks to anyone who can help...this is causing issues.

Can you read in the mailserver logs if ALL emails got out of the server?
If all of them got sent, then it's not an NMS thing......

Could this have to do with the number of message. Most that can be sent in a batch?

in order to debug what the problem is here, you really need to pay attention to your mail servers logs (to see that everything is being sent out).... and to your httpd error logs to see if there is anything weird happening.

I think that if 'some' of the messages are getting through then its either a problem with the mail server
  (maybe it got blacklisted), or your messages are going to spam, or something with a php memory limit or some other simple little error like that.

At this point there's little we can do without some absolute evidence of what is happening.... without spending hours modifying the NMS code to debug the traffic between NMS and the mail server, and THEN we may still have a problem that we can't control.

Log files are your friend.

So the latests on all this is something totally new but something someone else may have to deal with. It seems the hosting service has a spam policy that is blocking emails from going out. See email below.

So unless an IP is registered this will not work.

MESSAGE FROM COMPANY TO ME:

Unfortunately, this isn't fully compliant with our spam policy.
Without having the IP's logged, we have no proof that the owner of the
email address specifically opted in to the list. This is done for both
your protection as well as ours. If you are accused of spamming, and we
don't have access to logs that show when and where it was subscribed to,
there's not a whole lot we can do to protect you or prove that they
specifically requested to be on the list. You can still use your CMS as
an announcement list despite this, but you will be limited to only be
able to send 200 messages an hour. If you'd like to send more than this,
you'd need to either have the logs which show this IP and date
information, or have your list subscribers reconfirm their subscription
with this logging enabled. I'm sorry that I don't have a better answer
for you, but we have a pretty strict anti-spam policy and our abuse
department adheres to it closely.
