Source button disappears?

Hi --

One of our users is getting a strange error when trying to toggle between the source/WYSISYG views:
Several times over the past two days, I've been working on pages in CMS and
suddenly lose the option to view the source coding.  I click on Source, and
there's a message in the bottom toolbar saying "Error on page."  The error
persists when I sign out and back in to CMS and also when I reboot.  Any idea
why this is happening?  Any solutions?  I've had to delete and recreate the
same page about 10 times now!
I tried searching but haven't seen a discussion of a similar error -- any ideas?

Many thanks!
Lisa

Same here. The "Toggle Editor" checkbox disappeared after I upgraded to CMSMS 1.1.1. I've quadruple-checked my settings in the Editarea module and in User Preferences. The test area in the module settings works ok, but nothing appears in the content edit pages. I also tried installing the latest version of EditArea installed, but still no checkbox after the upgrade.

Check your httpd error logs..... there may be something in there that could help... like 'memory limit exceeded' or something.

Another quick note....

If you don't have access to, or don't know where to access your httpd error logs, then you need to talk with your host.  When running any 'application', wether it be php or asp based, you need to know what is going on.

If they won't or can't give you access to the error logs for your site, then in my oppinion you need to find another host.

If you don't have the error logs, you're just shooting in the dark, and it is often very hard to support you.  The error logs help at least 90% of the time.
