Hello,

I have searched a bit with no luck...

I have installed the latest version of cmsms and have chmoded "modules" to 777. I have also made sure that safe_mode is set to off. It is not only set locally but on the global level... The Problem is that I am still getting an error saying that the modules directory is not writable.

Before I turned of safe_mode locally i was getting the error on the front page of the admin and the "modules" pages. now it's just on the modules pages.... ???

Any help please?

Hi!

That seems to be always a little different. Depends in hosting place, etc...

Maybe your chmod is ok, but you're still not the owner... example: the owner is wwwrun, then your not able to change or delete, because you maybe uploadet via ftp.

There is somewhere a php-file that can change ALL your permissions to 777.

go to:
http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php/topic,13019.msg64587.html#msg64587

Download this file from this site:
openpermissions.php.txt  -->it's from calguy postet  by cyberman

Hope it is helpfull to you!
