hello,
i'm just install 1.0.8 but i tried to upload xml file in themes manger but i couldn't

WARNING: You have insufficient permissions to upload or install themes. This may be due to the permissions on the uploads or modules subdirectories, or Safe mode may be in effect on your server.

how i fix it and how to disable safe mode

Another way could be to empty umask value in site admin > global settings.

Hello,

I have the same problem.
My web provider have PHP SAVE MODE enabled and nobody can use .htaccess file for changing this parameter.
Also trick with empty umask value doesn't work.

Any idea how can I upload and use some theme in .XML format?
