Error when trying to add large amounts of content

Hi all --
I'm having another odd problem in our site migration project. We have been essentially copying & pasting all our old content into new templates, which has been fine in most cases. However, for a few of our more cumbersome pages, it doesn't seem to be able to cope with the amount of data (often just long pages of lists and clinical information in basic, but enormous, tables) -- it generates a 'no data added' error or just crashes when saving the page. Is there a good solution short of breaking the content up into separate pages?
