A stupid question....

Post by karc2007 »

Hello, my question maybe stupid...

I searched on the site and also on the forums to find an answer.. i wasn´t lucky.

how do I install a module, wich is not listed in the module manager ?

The module I want to install is "pisearch 1.82".

I copied the the unzipped folder to my modules-folder on my webserver.. but it can´t be found in the modules-section.

I tried to upload the xml of "pisearch 1.82" but it resulted in an parsing-error.

What do I have to do to get this module installed and accepted ?

thanks for any help,
Marc
*edit: I solved the problem by installing an earlier Version of Pisearch (1.72).*
The XML file installed the module correctly.

With the xml of 1.81 and 1.82 it failed.
