Change template in Pages view

I have made a few new templates for my site, and want to apply these templates to a number of pages. As it is now, I have to open each page in "edit mode" and assign a new template. If I could mark the pages for which I want to assign new templates in "Pages" view and do the changes as one batch operation, it would have saved me several hours of work ....
