After searching for my problems with the Blog Made Simple module, i fix a few but i can't find anything about the entrys order: When i post a new blog entry, it placed under the older blog entry... It should be above the older entry... The posting date's and time are ok so thats not it... anyone has an bright idea?

thanks

The sort order should certainly be configurable! I'll do that soon. The reason for the current order is the special wishes of the company I originally wrote the module for.
Another thing is that I'm very intersted in hearing about how you fixed your other problems! Many people have trouble with getting the module to work at all, and while I cannot regenerate any of their problems on neither of my development sites I'm having trouble fixing it. If you have patches or explain to me what you have done, I would be very grateful!

After installing Blogs made simple to my plain installation of CMSMS I had no problem running it. Entries were shown.
Then I installed the Album and the lightbox extension and afterwards none of the Blog entries were shown at all. Could there be a conflict?

Right now I tested it again. Deinstalled the Blogs made simple and installed it again. Now the Entries won't show. The only time it worked was, when i had it exclusively installed and used on the very main page. On another page it didn't work.

As I've said before, I'm so sorry to hear of the trouble people are having with the module. I have yet to see the problem myself, and I have installed it on both Linux and XP-servers.
I know it's quite a request... but if someone had a site with a non-functional blogs 0.2.0 module on, and I could have both cmsms-admin-rights and ftp-acces, I might be able to do some debugging which could straighten out the problem. But as I said, I know it's quite a thing to ask...

If anybody's up for it, PM me here in forum, or mail me directly at morten@poulsen.org

I would really like to get the module up to speed for as many people as possible...

Great news guys... I've had some time with a cmsms installation on which blogs did not work... and I think I fixed most problems (not promising everyone, though).
My preliminary changes are in svn, and I'll clean it up for a 0.2.1 release very soon.

Thank you for your patience... I hope you'll give Blogs Made Simple another go!

Best regards

A new and freshly bugfixed version 0.2.1 has just been released. Please have a try and see if it works better. It really should.

Great work, the module appears to work now!

I'll modify my lay-out, but that I cannot do has been done by you: thanks!

I installed this and nothing shows up on the page and the page itself is wacked out. Also there's a long, long, unfriendly path that occurs. What am I missing here? Does this module have title-of-article-paths like a blog and is there an easy, non-techie, fix to it not working out of the "box" so to speak?

In the entry page, the article text label reads "category description" btw

Thanks!

I'm sorry to hear you have problems with version 0.2.2. A lot of people which had problems with the 0.2.0 version have reported that 0.2.2 works much better.
Do you have link where I can see the problem?

Hope we can sort this out.

regards

sil.

Hello again,

I see that it was 0.2.0 and not 0.2.2, which I downloaded and installed. It works, pretty much.

The paths are really, really long and unfriendly. Is it possible to make the urls

category/this-is-the-title-of-the-article/

OR

category/this-is-the-title-of-the-article.php

right now they are index.php?mact=Blogs,m3,showblog,1&m3returnid=173&m3show=everything

Thanks!

Thanks!

I'm glad the basic functionality works for you with 0.2.2. I've never played with pretty-urls, but the module api does have that functionality. I'll keep it in mind and implement it when I learn how to do it and have the time!

On the site were i call the blog made simple module i want to change the font. When i navigate from this page to the other blog made simple pages i get my default font. I want to have that as well on the first page were i call the module. How to do this?
I like your module and hope that the guys over here at cmsms will use it on their blog page. As long as you keep on developing i think they will be doing that in the near future.
Best,
Ruben

Hi Struba

I'm glad to hear that you like the module! About the fonts, have you tried to edit the stylesheet that is added when installing the module? And have you attached it to your templates? It should work, if it does not, could you provide me with a link where I can see the problem? I'm on vacation for the next week, so I won't promise any solutions before then, but I hope I can help you!
