module manager error

I'm using CMSMS 1.0.4 Lanai, and when I tried to open the Module Manager today I got the following message,

SOAP Problem (http://modules.cmsmadesimple.org/soap.p ... Repository): HTTP Error: Couldn't open socket connection to server http://modules.cmsmadesimple.org/soap.p ... Repository prior to connect(). This is often a problem looking up the host name.

How do I correct this?
thanks

It's probably because of the server move.

having been out of general circulation for a while I didn't know that CMSMS had moved servers. how do I make it so that module Manager points in the right direction?

So now we've established that CMSMS has moved to another server, what should I have in my Module Repository URL? I've tried the suggested route -
The URL should be in the form http://www.mycmssite.com/path/soap.php? ... Repository
but this draws a blank.

Hi, I am encountering a similar problem. Did you manage to get this resolved? How did you do it?
I have the problem on both the Kona Version of cmsmadesimple and the Samoa Version (1.1)
My error message when trying to connect to the Repository is as follows...

Error!

SOAP Problem (http://modules.cmsmadesimple.org/soap.p ... Repository): HTTP Error: Couldn't open socket connection to server http://modules.cmsmadesimple.org/soap.p ... Repository, Error (110): Connection timed out

Have the same line in mine and it works fine...

http://modules.cmsmadesimple.org/soap.p ... Repository

CMSMS 1.0.8, http://cmsmsdemo.multiintech.com/ login info on home page, and CMSMS 1.1

Some hosted environments and corporate networks have disallowed outgoing http connections from servers.  This is probably what's happening.

Hi, thanks for your checking and help. I had a response from my host:
"The issue is that our firewall does not allow outgoing requests to other servers. This is a security restriction."
My host must have made this change to their security restrictions as it had worked previously. Fortunately they were able to configure the security to allow me to make outgoing connections and it seems to work fine now.
My advice to others in my situation is to check that your host allows outgoing requests/connections to other servers.
