Admin Login Trouble: SOLVED

I've got an interesting issue with the admin login (and I've read all the posts on this; no luck).

I built a site behind a non-standard port 51 during development.
I moved the site to standard port 80.
The site works fine for browsing and I can log into the admin from any other PC than the one I originally used to build the site.
On the original PC, the login page just keeps returning to the login page when I log in.
With debug on, it looks like I'm validated from the database, assigned cookies, etc, but I still end up with the login page and request to "Enter a valid user credential".
Again, the same login works from other PCs.

I have tried IE and Mozilla (after clearing cookies, all off-line content, etc) with no luck.
I created a new user with admin privileges and tried the new user from the problem PC and still no luck.

I have a second install on the same server, behind the non-standard port and no problems logging into the admin on that install with the 'problem' PC.

I have checked all logs (including tail -f while trying to log in) and see nothing.

Any suggestions would be great.

I'm beginning to think I need to re-install and migrate data/folders to new install...

I'm running apache 2.0.54, cmsms 1.0.6 Niihau, php4

Check your paths in config.php, especially the admin one.

I don't think the config.php file can be the cause, since I can log in as admin from other PCs.
The config file has the default 'admin' directory and works from other PCs.

It's only a single pc that won't work, even though it did work before moving the site from port 51.

It's really strange. I can power up my laptop, log right in as admin, but not from the PC I'm using right now.
However, I can log into another admin cmsms page on the same server.
Oh, and both cmsms installs are on a server I maintain as admin.

The only reason I'm raising this is because I have a second site I want to move from behind port 51 and am wondering whether I'll have the same issue.

I basically wonder whether there is some stored credential somewhere on the PC or cmsms that I need to flush.
As I said, I've flushed everything to do with my browser. I also used the admin page from a different PC to clear cmsms cache.

SOLVED.

McAfee privacy service (part of the McAfee suite) upgrade/update required explicit entry to allow cookies from my site.

I guess some update/upgrade around the same time I migrated from behind port 51, a McAfee update also happened.

Anyway, I read a lot of different posts on the 'can't log into admin' topic.

I had done all the standard stuff with clearing browser cookies, looking at trusted sites, security settings....

Check out personal firewalls, especially McAffee privacy service --> Configure Privacy Service Options --> Cookies

Once I added my site address (www.etc....), things immediately worked.

Maybe this will help.
