Upload image from url?

I am vbulletin admin and it has really nice feature to upload files from url, I think it uses curl. It would really come in handy here with images. So I was wondering is such option possible, I see it is not by default but I was hoping there is some kind of addon for it.

Uploads is the module you want.

Thx RonnyK, but I am not sure this is exactly what I need. What I had in mind is a possibility to upload image from admin panel, when creating new content, like in FCKeditor, on insert/edit image button. There is an option to upload image there, but only from pc. It would be much more convenient to upload directly from url. I don't want to hot link to images on other sites and use people's bandwidth when there is no need.
